Why do gel polish?
Gel polish is perfect for those that don't want the bulk and length added from gel nails. If you have strong natural nails or if you are trying to not bite your nails gel polish is a great option! Gel polish is applied to the natural nail and NO length is added. We will clean up your natural nails as best we can. Gel polish is also a great alternative to regular polish as it is dry when you leave and no risk of smudging! Gel polish is a little thicker and more resistant to chipping than regular polish.
What is the difference between shellac and gel polish?
Nothing!!!
There is no difference between shellac and gel polish. CND shellac was most likely the OG gel polish. It is all the same thing! Gel polish has come a long way since it's inception. CND shellac was thick, wrinkled often if applied too thick (which was very easy to do), and sometimes needed multiple coats!! Gel polish now-a-days is far more pigmented and thinner so you don't end up with thick nails!
